A Church Converted Into a House

Architectural works like this one are not often seen. The church originally built in 1867. in Brisbane, Australia is heritage listed and thus could not be demolished.

Since it was not used as a church, it has been purchased and renovated into a modern house everyone would wish for. The space once occupied with pews is now a spacious and fantastic living room. With extremely high ceiling, this part of the house has a lot of natural light and it is its central place.

There isamazing shiny parquet which practically doubles the room. Instead of the altar, there is a modern beige kitchen with a bar separating it from the living room. There is also a large bedroom with a bathroom.

The backyard is not large, but its every millimeter is used for making a terrace comfortable for sitting and next to it there is a small, but excellently designed pool.
